In December of 2015 MadMan and I went to New Orleans for my 22nd birthday. He'd been before when he was young; however, I had never been. Typical for December, it rained most days so there was little chance for scenic photos. The rain; however, didn't stop us from really enjoying the drinks, history, and food that was around.
It turns out I am not half bad at snowboarding and neither is MadMan. Last year, we traveled to the mountains and went snowboarding. I almost broke my knee, lost my sunglasses, and had so much fun. MadMan almost broke his tail bone and also enjoined himself immensely. So maybe that was a lie... we both suck.
I live in Atlanta. I've also vacationed to Atlanta when I lived in Central Georgia. MadMan spent many weekends in Atlanta before he moved here for college. Needless to say we have a little knowledge on where to go, what to eat, and where to stay.
I love hiking, as does MadMan. We've made our share of mistakes, we know what it's like to wear the wrong shoes and not bring food. So, we've made this. A good starting point for getting ready to hike. We also have photos of the Great Smokey Mountains where we got engaged last year. … Continue reading Read Here to Begin Planning a Hike

For our honeymoon, we are going to St. Lucia. That requires a passport and tickets. If you go to other places, you might need shots and a few other things, but if you're like us, you might be starting the process from scratch. I've done some research recently, so I thought I'd share what I know.
When we were planning our honeymoon, we looked up budget honeymoon locations. We kept getting "under $5000 honeymoons", not exactly what I would call a budget. That's why I made this, more idea generator, less exact list of places to go. These are general ideas, made to get you thinking about how and what you could do to make a romantic getaway on a budget. I have no exact numbers or sites, just ideas and past experiences to draw from. Read through each idea, think if it could work for you and how you could make it happen.
This week, we're talking about how to save time, stress, money, and energy when traveling. As someone who loves travel, I know that it can get complicated and tiring fast. That's why you should look at these tips, maybe they can help you like they helped me. I've learned/discovered/been told about tips for flying, staying, cruising, and more along the way. Let's begin.
This is the second in what might be a few posting on our adventure to Portland. Previous to this you can see our post on family friendly adventures. This will be about all the places we recommend you eat. Next, I plan on writing our adventure, the fun stories and pictures from our trip. Who doesn't like food? It seems like it would be a boring life to live. I love to try new foods, MadMan likes to call me a foodie, I just say I like to try new things, food included. For that reason, Portland was awesome. We tried some local, some western chains (some chain stores we'd never heard of before), and some other. We've listed the one's we've tried, the good ones. If we go back When we go back, we will add to this list, maybe even with some date night budget places.
